วันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2569 นายพีรพันธ์ คอทอง เลขาธิการสำนักงานเศรษฐกิจการเกษตร มอบหมายให้นางสาวหิรัญญา สระสม รักษาการในตำแหน่งผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านนโยบายเศรษฐกิจการเกษตรระหว่างประเทศ เข้าร่วมการประชุมโต๊ะกลม (Roundtable Meeting) ภายใต้การจัดงาน Thailand-U.S. Trade and Investment Summit 2026 ณ โรงแรมไฮแอท รีเจนซี กรุงเทพฯ
การประชุมจัดขึ้นภายใต้ความร่วมมือระหว่างหอการค้าอเมริกันในประเทศไทย หอการค้าไทย และหอการค้าสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและหารือแนวทางความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐและภาคเอกชนของไทยและสหรัฐอเมริกา ในประเด็น ห่วงโซ่อุปทานอาหารและภาคการเกษตร (Food and Agricultural Supply Chains) ซึ่งมีความสำคัญต่อการเสริมสร้างความยืดหยุ่นของระบบเศรษฐกิจและห่วงโซ่อุปทาน การสร้างความมั่นคงทางอาหาร ตลอดจนการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคเกษตรและอาหารของไทย
การประชุมดังกล่าวยังเป็นเวทีในการแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยและสหรัฐอเมริกา เพื่อรองรับความท้าทายและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของระบบการค้าและห่วงโซ่อุปทานโลก รวมทั้งสนับสนุนการยกระดับประเทศไทยสู่การเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านอาหารและเกษตรของภูมิภาค
OAE Participates in the Roundtable Discussion at the Thailand-U.S. Trade and Investment Summit 2026 to Discuss Cooperation on Thailand–U.S. Food and Agricultural Supply Chains
On 17 August 2026, Mr. Peeraphan Kothong, Secretary-General of the Office of Agricultural Economics (OAE), assigned Ms. Hirunya Srasom, Acting Expert on International Agricultural Economic Policy, to participate in a Roundtable Meeting held as part of the Thailand-U.S. Trade and Investment Summit 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok.
The meeting was organized through cooperation among the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM Thailand), the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The meeting aimed to exchange views and discuss potential areas of cooperation between the public and private sectors of Thailand and the United States on Food and Agricultural Supply Chains. This issue is crucial to strengthening the resilience of economic systems and supply chains, enhancing food security, and improving the competitiveness of Thailand’s agricultural and food sectors.
The meeting also served as a platform for exchanging views on strengthening cooperation between Thailand and the United States to address challenges and changes in global trade and supply chains, while supporting Thailand’s development as a regional hub for food and agriculture.
